오늘의 단상_믿지 않는 배우자가 주님을 찾도록 돕는 방법

 

성경구절을 통해서 믿지 않는 배우자가 주님을 찾도록 돕는 방법을 알아보겠습니다.

 

I Corinthians 7:10-16

“And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband; and let not the husband put away his wife. But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shall save thy wife?”

 

결혼한 자들에게 내가 명하노니, 내가 아니라 주께서 명하시기를 아내는 남편을 떠나지 말라. 그러나 만일 그녀가 떠나거든 결혼하지 말든지 혹은 자기 남편과 화합하든지 하라. 또 남편은 아내를 버리지 말라. 그러나 그 나머지 사람들에게 내가 말하노니, 주께서 말씀하신 것이 아니라 만일 어떤 형제에게 믿지 않는 아내가 있어 그녀가 그와 함께 살기를 기뻐하거든 그녀를 버리지 말라. 또 어떤 여자에게 믿지 않는 남편이 있어 그가 그녀와 함께 살기를 기뻐하거든 그녀는 그를 떠나지 말라. 이는 믿지 않는 남편이 아내로 말미암아 거룩히 구별되고 믿지 않는 아내가 남편으로 말미암아 거룩히 구별되었기 때문이라. 그렇지 않으면 너희 자녀가 부정하였으려니와 이제는 그들이 거룩하니라. 그러나 믿지 않는 자가 떠나거든 그를 떠나게 하라. 형제나 자매는 그러한 경우에 속박되지 아니하나니 하나님께서는 우리를 화평으로 부르셨느니라. 오 아내여, 네가 네 남편을 구원할지 어찌 알 수 있으며 오 남자여, 네가 네 아내를 구원할지 어찌 알 수 있으리요?)

 

I Peter 3:1-4

“Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quite spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.”

 

(이와 같이 아내들아, 너희 자신의 남편에게 복종하라. 이는 그들 중 어떤 이들이 말씀에 순종하지 아니할지라도 그들이 말 없는 아내의 행실로 말미암아 얻고자 함이니라. 그들이 두려움으로 너희의 정결한 행실을 볼 때에 그렇게 되리라. 너희의 단장은 머리를 땋고 금을 차고 옷을 입는 외면의 단장으로 하지 말고 오직 마음속에 숨은 사람을 썩지 아니할 것으로 단장하되 온유하고 조용한 영의 장식으로 할지니 그것이 하나님 보시기에 값진 것이니라.)

 

믿지 않는 배우자를 주님께 인도하는 가장 좋은 방법은 그들에게 설교하거나 교회에 끌고 가는 것이 아니라, 그들 앞에서 모범적인 기독교인의 삶을 사는 것입니다. 믿는 아내는 남편에게 사랑과 존경을 보여주고, 믿는 남편은 아내에게 사랑과 배려를 보여줌으로써 그들을 주님께 인도할 수 있습니다.
